First and foremost, we hope that after your Squareroot renovation project is completed you can relax and simply enjoy your new home. All of the remodel projects we work on are transformational to one degree or another. That is one of the most satisfying parts of our job – seeing how much our clients enjoy their new spaces.
After we are gone and the dust has settled, there are a few things you can expect. Your house is built of natural materials that need time to adjust to their new purpose and shape. What this means is that in all cases, newly built additions or custom homes will need some cycles through Colorado’s seasons to settle. Wood will always shrink and expand before finally stabilizing in your renovation project. This may mean seasonal gaps in your hardwood floors, small cracks in grout and caulk lines, small cracks or nail pops in your drywall, or small cracks in newly poured concrete. This is simply a result of the ever-changing weather patterns we experience here in the great state of Colorado.
These inevitable blemishes always happen during a home renovation project. They are in no way a reflection on the quality of the build or the materials that were used in your new space. It’s just what happens to materials after construction, so please do not be shocked or displeased when it occurs.
We are always available to touch up your house during our warranty period and expect to do so. If this is the case, please fell free to reach out to our friendly staff to discuss touch ups, availability, and scheduling.
